Nick Van Dyk is a senior executive at a publicly traded company by day, but a rock guitarist and songwriter on the side. His band, Redemption, is signed to Metal Blade records, and has toured extensively in the US and Europe. The band just released their second live album and concert DVD and are now returning to the studio to record their sixth CD.
Nick was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2008, and was treated at the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy at the University of Arkansas under their Total Therapy 4 regimen. He remains in complete remission and is a passionate advocate for other patients.
He has a degree in political science from UCLA, and, like MMRF founder Kathy Giusti, he has an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife of 21 years, Jill, and their two children. In addition to writing and playing music, he is an avid wine collector, and a mediocre but enthusiastic golfer.
