This song was originally written to help girls struggling with eating disorders, depression, and other negative body image issues. It is used by permission as the theme song for BYU Women’s Services and Resources’ “Recapturing Beauty” campaign this year. The music video has been featured on Deseret News, KBYU Eleven, The Daily Herald, Buzz.io, LDS Media Talk, and several smaller blogs. We figured it would be a comforting track for women going through chemotherapy and struggling with body image. Everyone needs a gentle reminder that they are loved and that they are not forgotten.
DateNight is a philanthropic indie rock quintet from Provo, UT. The band consists of Zach Collier, Jared King, James Pemberton, Loren Larsen, and Alessandro Improta. Collier lost his grandmother to breast cancer last November, and Improta lost a good friend to Lymphatic Cancer just a few years ago.
